We are seeking a Senior SDET to join our growing QA Engineering team in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in test automation with Ruby and Selenium, hands-on experience in QA methodologies, and a passion for improving product quality. This is a highly collaborative role requiring analytical thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Ruby and Selenium
Collaborate with SDET and cross-functional teams to create effective test plans and strategies
Execute manual and automated test cases; analyze results and ensure product quality
Evaluate code according to technical and functional specifications
Report, track, and document bugs and defects using standard tools
Participate in BDD (Cucumber) framework execution and enhancements
Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Conduct regression, post-release, and post-implementation testing
Ensure QA best practices are followed throughout the Agile SDLCRequired Skills & Experience:
6-8 years of overall IT experience
3-5+ years in a QA/SDET role focused on automation
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Ruby, and BDD (Cucumber)
Familiarity with Java for framework-level enhancements
Solid understanding of QA methodologies and Agile environments
Strong documentation and error-tracking abilities
Excellent analytical and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Advanced degrees are a plus)
Ability to multitask and deliver in time-sensitive, high-impact scenarios
Self-motivated and a team player with a strong quality focus
