Palmetto, GAOrder: 4387Order Type : Direct HireJob Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Palmetto, GAPosition Type: Direct HirePay: $21.00-32.00/hourShift: 1st ShiftJob Description: Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technicians for a company located in Palmetto!Education Requirements for Maintenance Technicians:High school diploma, or GED equivalent (Technical school or technical training preferred) is required.Qualifications for Maintenance Technicians:After meeting all of PPS' standard qualifications, Candidate must meet below qualifications:Must have 5-7 years mechanical maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, conveyors, and sortation experience in a distribution environment.Must have a minimum of 2 years proven, demonstrated, and verifiable electrical/electronical experience.Must be able to understand PLC programming and controls in an automated environment.Familiar with gearboxes and electrical motors, v-belts, and pulleys.Exposure to mathematics applied to industry.Familiar with sprockets and chains used as power transmission.Understood principles of generators and power generation equipment.Familiar with metal fabrication tools, cutting and welding, pimps and compressors, HVAC, and fire response equipment.Understand packaging and labeling equipment and their implementation.Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics related to processing equipment.Familiar with industrial lighting types and applications.Must possess troubleshooting skills, effective communication, mechanical aptitude ability to operate various equipment, and ability to use hand tools.Must be willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.Assignment Duties for Maintenance Technicians:Troubleshoot all aspects of maintenance including PLC Control Logic, electrical, mechanical, and analytical areas of the business.Analyze and repair electrical and operational problems on assigned equipment (i.e. conveyor/sortation, building/facility, and fire/safety).Assist in testing and calibrating electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC controls under operating conditions.Install electrical conduit, wiring, control panels, data lines, switching devices, PLC's, controls, fixtures, motors, outlets, and other such equipment in accordance with applicable codes such as NEC, UL, and NFPA, as necessary.Perform diagnostic tests, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, pyrometers, pressure gauges, tachometers, light meters, thermal imagers, potentiometers, multi-meters, and other instrumentation devices.Test, calibrate, and repair pneumatic controls, HVAC controls, pumps, fans, valves, PLC's electronic eyes, photo-eyes/photocells, emitters/receivers, motors, and motor starters/inverters, relays, etc. to return equipment to operational status.Operate and troubleshoot label application equipment as required to maintain a documented record of label quality from either desktop, or process-line printing devices.Assist in routine preventative maintenance inspection of assigned equipment including lubrication of both stationery and moving equipment with oils, greases, and other lubricants.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Shift Details: Monday-Friday - 7:00AM-3:00PMPay Rate: $21.00-32.00/hour depending on experienceOffice Information:Phone: 770.795.7774 ext. 308*Ask for IvanFor any additional questions or to schedule an interview call us today!If you are already registered, to apply directly to this position.If you are not already registered, no problem! !We look forward to assisting you in your job search!All qualified applicants will receive disability, age, veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, and genetics.Skills:
