- Change cyclone
- Change defective hoses
- Change sump discharge to bins or bypass
- Clean wash boxes at the Flotation Plant
- Clear overloaded belts
- Keep areas beneath the belt clean
- Keep belt pulley area clean
- Ensure bins are dumped in a timely manner
- Plant operation (Z Train, Steam Boiler, and MAP) within the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations
- Spot, inspect, load, and unload railcars and trucks
- Complete required paperwork to release railcars and trucks from the plant within the EPA, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and
- Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation
- Operate track mobile to move cars and sample products
- Perform startup, normal operation, shutdown, and emergencies within the Department
- Inspection and clean up of various equipment
- Prepare equipment for maintenance, perform troubleshooting, and take appropriate action to correct errors
- Operate Payloader, Manlift, and other mobile equipment as necessary to perform all tasks of the position
- Load SPA Trucks
- Load Sulfuric Acid trucks
- Unload sulfur
- Steam up sulfur cars
- Monitor Sulfur pad
- Strike steam traps
- Operate signs, derailers, chokes
- Operator sulfur transfer pumps
- Housekeeping on sulfur pad
- Pop sulfur tops
- Clean strainers on steam traps
- Fill out inspections
- Many other tasks as defined in the FJA
- Follow established operating procedures and guideline
- Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to bulldozers, skidders, excavators, and haul trucks in support of mining operations.
- Expertise in operating the area equipment within the standard operating conditions and ability to troubleshoot equipment problems
- Ability to work independently while coordinating work with the shift schedule
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- One year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)
- Steady employment history
- Valid driver's license (required for operating company vehicles)
- All hourly applicants must complete the Florida Ready to Work or National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) assessment. A minimum score of 3 in Math, 3 in Reading, and 3 in Data is required to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien.
- Applicants must also complete the Florida Ready to Work Soft Skills Assessment and achieve a “Passed” status.
- Both certificates (Florida Ready to Work or NCRC and Soft Skills) must be uploaded along with your resume when submitting your application.
