Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:15 AM – 2:45 PMRate: $45.00/hourJob Description:We are seeking a compassionate and student-focused Elementary School Counselor to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in grades K–5. The School Counselor will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to guiding young learners, addressing individual needs, and fostering positive behavior and mental well-being.Key Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, and social issuesDevelop and implement age-appropriate guidance lessons to support student growthAssist students in developing problem-solving, conflict resolution, and coping skillsCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify student needs and provide appropriate interventionsSupport students facing behavioral challenges, academic struggles, or personal difficultiesCreate a safe and welcoming environment that encourages self-expression and learningParticipate in student support teams, IEP meetings, and other school-based interventions as neededRefer students and families to external support services when necessaryMaintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with district and state policiesPromote positive school climate by implementing programs that encourage inclusivity, respect, and kindnessQualifications:Master’s degree in School Counseling or related fieldValid state certification/licensure as a School CounselorExperience working with elementary-age students preferredStrong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively with educators, families, and community resourcesFor more details reach at or Call / Text at 518-862-1204.
