- Provide exceptional member service.
- Actively look for referral opportunities.
- Complete member deposit, withdrawal, payment, cash checking, and cash advance requests.
- Assisting members and potential members with opening and servicing products and services.
- Always maintain member confidentiality by verifying all necessary signatures, endorsements, and proper photo identification.
- Maintain appropriate cash drawer/recycling supply.
- Verify and balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift.
- Process daily mail, night depository, and ATM.
- Order and re-order checks and check cards for members.
- Enroll/modify payroll allocations and ACH per member request.
- Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as related to position.
- Yearly completion of all on-line compliance training as defined by Management.
- Attend required sales, services, and department training classes to enhance skill level.
- Demonstrate the Credit Union’s philosophy in all interactions and adhere to Patch Values with members, prospective members, and team members.
- Foster and maintain an atmosphere of solutions, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Must be bondable.
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Three (3) to six (6) months related experience. Prior sales experience helpful, preferable in a financial capacity.
- Saturday hours are required on a rotating basis.
- Able to read and interpret policy and procedures.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and team oriented.
- Learn and know current Member Service operating system.
- Learn and know product offerings, stay abreast of new products and services.
- Use effective written and verbal skills.
- Ability and willingness to look for opportunities to refer additional products and services to our existing members.
- Ability to enter data and update member financial records accurately and efficiently via computer terminal.
- Know basic computer skills, including use of standard keyboard, mouse, and common software packages.
- Accurate math skills, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as cash denominations.
- Ability to use or able to learn to use basic 10-key calculator.
- Comply with all Federal and Credit Union regulations as related to position.
- Prompt attendance during all scheduled shifts and required meetings.
- Work at fast pace, accurate and attentive when handling details.
- Demonstrated or potential ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and exercise good judgment.
- Work Environment: Business office, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand at a desk the majority of the workday; talk or hear; stand or walk occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is typically utilizing a computer, keyboard and phone. May occasionally reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
