Experienced candidates will be eligible to start at higher pay. Pay will be determined based on experience and skill set.Rogers Group is seeking an Equipment Operator for our operation located in Knoxville, TN. We also offer a variety of safety equipment, paid holidays, and paid vacations.The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery including dozer, excavator, front end loader, dredge, Backhoe, Broom, Asphalt Roller, Asphalt Screed, Paver, Motor Grader and general work around the asphalt operations.
  • Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications:
  • Individual must be dedicated to always operating safely
  • Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry
  • Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment
  • Ability to compete pre-operation inspection paperwork
  • Experience operating heavy equipment required
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekend when necessary
  • Team player attitude
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
