
District Sales Manager

- Is the senior representative for the Company in the Mid-Atlantic District which entails managing and developing relationships with all stakeholders including owners, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and the community at large.
- Accountable for the safe and ethical management of the Company’s personnel, tangible assets, and intellectual assets within the District.
- In collaboration with the Regional Manager, is responsible for the execution of the Mid-Atlantic District’s long-term strategic and financial plan.
- Develop accurate, well-researched budgets and forecasts for the District as required.
- Meet or exceed the District’s annual profitability as measured by sales and operating income targets.
- Maintain strategic levels of product inventory to balance serving of customer demands with the accumulation of excess, slow-moving inventory.
- Grow sales within the assigned strategic accounts.
- Select, direct, and coach the District’s sales team in alignment with the Company’s short and long term strategic and financial goals and objectives.
- Utilize CRM for the Region’s strategic sales plan management and execution of Sales Processes and holds all sales personnel accountable to CRM execution expectations.
- Increase market penetration and improve market share via client acquisition, growth in existing client spending and geographic expansion.
- Develop and effectively communicate team and individual targets and provide regular coaching to ensure targets are met.
- Continually assess team and individual performance and determine corrective action for individuals when targets are not being met.
- Work effectively with other Company personnel and leadership staff within defined processes and procedures to ensure district personnel and operations gain full advantage of the Company’s support infrastructure.
- Ensure that all Hanes facilities and assets meet local regulatory standards and properly showcase the Hanes brand.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, distribution, or related field.
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in the following areas:
- Selling in the Construction/Building Materials industry.
- Planning and implementing sales strategies and leading a sales team.
- Customer relationship management (CRM) software (Microsoft Dynamics/Salesforce)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedication to providing great customer service.
- Up to 50% of travel expected
