Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (overtime as needed)Position Overview
Nesco Resource is seeking experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operators for a growing client in Clinton Township. This role focuses on sewing seating fabric and related materials to meet production and service order requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, leather, and foam for seat covers and service orders.
- Assemble individual pieces into complete seat cover sets as specified on work travelers.
- Assist with material flow through embroidery and sewing operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on sewing machines and related equipment.
- Inspect products for quality, craftsmanship, and adherence to sewing standards.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Report any nonconformities, hazards, or unsafe working conditions.
- Support quality systems (ISO/TS 16949) and environmental standards (ISO 14000).
- Participate in problem-solving, investigations, and 8D processes as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a cut-and-sew environment (industrial sewing experience required).
- Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, materials, and patterns.
- Ability to meet quality standards and production deadlines.
