- Helps troubleshoot and works with operational departments to provide resolutions to quality issues.
- Works closely with operating departments to raise customer quality concerns. Provide the “voice of the customer.”
- Effectively uses Key Operating Parameters (KOP’s) to ensure quality of product on a daily basis.
- Solves production related issues impacting quality.
- Assists with the running of trials to ensure success.
- Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to identify trends and help correct to ensure product quality.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and makes logical recommendations based on analysis.
- "Hold” roll management, sorting, inspection, disposition, etc.
- WIS and Cognex web inspection evaluations.
- Parcview waterfall profile reviews.
- Collaborates with engineers, managers, and operations personnel as needed.
- Trial follow-up, audits and crew training, update ISO documents, review specifications, prepare management reports, etc.
- Effectively works independently as well as in a team environment.
- Assists with outage support on an as needed basis.
- Supports Manufacturing Excellence and Cost Per Ton initiatives.
- Other job duties assigned by management.
- Communications: Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Clear expression of ideas in writing and in good grammatical form. Has the ability to actively listen and provide feedback to others.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to resolve conflicts/disagreements in such a way to promote a win-win situation with the parties involved. Understands that based on the variety of experiences and values of the work group and work group members. An advisor is very sensitive to the feelings of others as resolutions are collectively developed.
- Leadership:Possesses a genuine intent to foster the learning and development of work group members while promoting the creation of a high performance team. Able to lead work group toward an objective or goal while encouraging and empowering the work group to make decisions regarding flow of work through specified area. Understands one’s influence on the work group, and provides direction to work group to insure requirements are consistently met for the work area/facility.
- Technical: Able to effectively use these computer systems: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrate the ability to learn and understand systems such as SAP, PI, Elixir, etc.
- Problem Solving: Ability to understand a situation by breaking it apart into smaller pieces, organizing parts of problem in a systematic way, making systematic comparisons of different aspects or features, setting priorities on a rational basis, identifying time sequences, and casual relationships or other relationships, in order to generate solutions. Trains and leads work group in problem solving activities.
- Change Orientation: Ability to adapt to and work in a variety of situations to support the organizational goals. Appreciates new and different perspectives and has the willingness to align one’s own behavior with the needs, priorities, and goals of Evergreen Packaging.
- Planning: Ability to effectively forecast future production/operational demands and to insure a plan of action is developed to support the attainment of organizational goals. Involves assessing capabilities, identifying resources, setting and prioritizing objectives, and determining critical paths. Ensures resources are available for work group to produce on-time, quality work and in a safe manner.
- Education: Undergraduate Degree required from a State Board of Regents Accredited University
- Experience: 5-7 professional work experience in Leadership/Supervisory role.
- Ability to adapt to a variety of conditions and technical challenges.
- Ability to build and manage a budget and schedule.
- Desired: Technical degree that has application to the paper industry.
