This position will require strong leadership skills while managing a team of installers and apprentice electricians. As a lead electrician, you will be responsible for you and your team's understanding and proper navigation of the project, use and installation methods outlined in the NEC, the ability to layout daily tasks in order to complete projects on time, manage your team's attendance, and to continually motivate your team as well as providing the knowledge to facilitate growth and advancement in a productive environment.Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.Arcon Electric is a reputable provider of quality electrical services with being in business for over 40 years. Primarily offering its services to new construction commercial properties. The business services the Pensacola, Okaloosa, and Panama City Beach areas.Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise projects from initiation to completion.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, material orders, and schedules.
  • Manage time sheets and ensure your team arrives on time.
  • Coordinate with the field supervisor for change orders.
  • Coordinate with general contractors or superintendents to ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulation.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain Communication with Project Manager and Field supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Commercial Electrician experience.
  • An extensive knowledge of reading electrical drawings and blueprints. Have the ability to decipher drawings and execute effectively what has been designed.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines. OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Required working knowledge of the NEC and Building Codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience working on commercial projects.
  • Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.)

  • Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
  • Perform work at various heights, up to 24′ from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas.
  • Work in restricted areas (closets, tunnels, crawl spaces, attics).
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses at all times), respirator when required.
