- Become a structured light scanning and analysis expert.
- Perform scanning inspection and analysis for customer requests, both in-house and at customer locations.
- Qualify and audit P&W module centers and suppliers for compliance to the Structured Light Qualification method. Provide findings report and follow-ups, as needed.
- Create standard work for structured light inspection and technology deployment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
- Maintain compliance with all EH&S and ethics requirements.
- Cross training opportunities in airflow testing, balance testing, CMM, and calibration within Q&PE.
- Bachelors degree in science, technology or engineering and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or quality in the aerospace industry.
- Comfortable working with automated machinery and robotics.
- Metrology concentration preferred.
- Programming in Python, Visual Basic, or Java preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T drawing interpretation, and implementation of measuring systems.
- Familiar with CMM programming and structured light inspection.
- Experience with structured light scanners and analysis software such as GOM, POLYWORKS or GEOMAGIC
- Strong statistical and analytical skills. Understand Design of Experiments, SPC, and Gage R&R.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry quality standards and procedures.
- Focus on results and customer satisfaction.
- Self-motivated and can work independently.
- Travel Requirements: up to 20%
- Layout Inspection experience.
