If you're passionate about translating complex science into compelling narratives that inform and inspire, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead comprehensive human health risk assessments for chemical ingredients across global product categoriesConduct chemical reviews to support ingredient transparency and sustainability initiativesMonitor and evaluate emerging scientific and regulatory issues related to chemistry and toxicologyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for ingredient communication and governanceDrive the development and communication of narratives around critical chemistries to support external engagement and educationProvide scientific leadership in the development of technical solutions and risk mitigation strategiesRepresent the company in industry working groups and scientific forums to advance chemical safety and sustainabilityMentor and coach technical staff, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and continuous learningSupport marketing, legal, and supply chain teams with technical insights and regulatory guidanceREQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRINGDoctorate Degree in Toxicology (or closely related field) with 7+ years of direct/relevant experience in product safety, toxicology or chemical risk assessmentQualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United StatesPREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLSProven ability to lead complex scientific projects and translate findings into actionable strategiesStrong collaboration skills across departments and with external stakeholdersExperience with global regulatory frameworks and sustainability standardsStrategic thinking and ability to influence chemical governance at a corporate levelExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillsLeadership attributes: results-driven, ethical, curious, adaptable, and collaborativeJOB REQUIREMENTSFull Time onsite role in Racine, WisconsinTravel Time expected:This role is eligible for relocation assistanceRemote work is available once per week for eligible employeesBENEFITS AND PERKSSC Johnson's total compensation packages are at or above industry levels.
