- Participates in making tow; transfer of rigging; lay rigging; handle lines; shift, drop or pickup barges; checking tow; move and operate portable pumps; assist in making locks or bridges; assist in mid-stream transfers; routine housekeeping duties; and general maintenance of the boat and barges.
- Pulling heavy lines, climbing onto and walking on barges, boats and narrow barge walkways.
- Deck must be hosed down and free of lines.
- Two years decking experience on the inland river system.
- Possess a valid TWIC card.
- River knowledge to include navigation skills and knowledge of hazards.
- Rigging skills.
- Ability to communicate using a two-way radio.
- Demonstrable skills at confined space and pumping procedures; fueling procedures.
- Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Available to work schedule of 14 days on vessel, 7 days off (crew change on Thursday).

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
- This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employee may have work schedule adjusted on short notice.
