Must be able to effectively work with cross functional teams to understand the design, perform Digital Manufacturing analysis, and present recommendations to the Responsible Engineering Authority (REA).Responsibilities to Anticipate:
This is a Mid-Level position. The Digital Manufacturing team is performing analysis to improve product fitment as it transitions to production. This is done through a few types of simulation during the design phase. One is a 3D Tolerance Analysis and requires at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience. The individual will be responsible for creating 3D tolerance models for varying product designs. The candidate will need to review and provide input to GD&T on product drawings to help ensure the Technical Data Package can meet dimensional requirements. The other type of simulation is Assembly Simulation. This requires a mechanical aptitude that would be common with the Tolerance Analyst described above. The candidate would need to create assembly simulations of the build with the goal of reducing producibility fitment issues. Both focus areas will work with program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to help reduce producibility fitment issues to ensure proper component fitment and a smooth transition to production.Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience.
