This role requires CMM experience and the ability to program CMMs from models and engineering drawings.The selected candidate will be responsible for:
-Inspecting machined or partially machined parts, using predetermined methods and sequences to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications and quality requirements.
-Devising setups to measure the accuracy of compound angles, exacting tolerances, and numerous dimensions.
-Working from drawings, sketches, and specification.
-Analyzing defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommends corrective action.In addition, the candidate:
-May determine method and sequences necessary to perform inspections.
-May inspect first run and production parts where standard checking devices are not available and special inspection tools and layouts are required.
-May improvise or adapt inspection measuring instruments as needed.
-May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.This role typically requires considerable knowledge of machining operation and some experience inspecting hardware prior to production.Basic Qualifications-Familiarity with production planning/specifications, drawing/blueprint reading, and use of calibrated inspection
equipment.-Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to
