
Lab Technician

- Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses, including design verification and method validation.
- Conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards of chemical intermediates.
- Operate experimental laboratory test equipment and procedures.
- Understand and follow instructions and specifications of engineers and other team members.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and understand standard test methods.
- Assist in the creation of new test procedures as necessary.
- Select and set up the required lab equipment for tests, experiments, and analyses.
- Prepare chemical solutions and buffers.
- Document test results per lab standards.
- Maintain and properly store lab supplies.
- Service and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Keep the laboratory neat and clean and sterilize all work surfaces and equipment.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and understand the background of projects or tasks.
- Work in an environment with a broad area of equipment and processes.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities in support of project teams.
- Work in both team environments and independently.
- Utilize an online request system for lab assignments and submission of reports.
- Ensure regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- AAS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of prior experience in a laboratory setting.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of lab environment, safety practices, and cleanliness.
- Strong analytical, observational, and time management skills.
- Ability to commute to the office daily.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field is preferred.
- Experience in writing technical reports.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
