Key Responsibilities
- Operate all aspects of Information Systems (IS) security: data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.
- Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems and networks.
- Advise personnel and ensure compliance with established security standards and Governmental requirements.
- Develop and execute Government-approved security policies, plans, and procedures.
- Operate and monitor network intrusion detection and forensic systems.
- Conduct IS security incident handling and support COOP/DR (Continuity of Operations/Disaster Recovery) plans.
- Perform certification of IS and networks.
- Operate Host Based Security System (HBSS), firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs, and other security tools.
- Perform defensive cyber operations including:
- Ensuring workstation/server compliance with client's HBSS requirements.
- Identifying cybersecurity incidents using HBSS, Tenable SecurityCenter, RedSeal, McAfee SIEM, and other tools.
- Operating Imperva Web Application and Database firewalls.
- Conducting forensics and remedial actions on cybersecurity incidents.
- Reporting defensive cyber operations statistics.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity operations and IS security management.
- Hands-on experience with HBSS, SIEM tools, VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires Sec+ (Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II)
