Cyber Security Specialist Mid

• Operate all aspects of Information Systems (IS) security: data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.
• Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems and networks.
• Advise personnel and ensure compliance with established security standards and Governmental requirements.
• Develop and execute Government-approved security policies, plans, and procedures.
• Operate and monitor network intrusion detection and forensic systems.
• Conduct IS security incident handling and support COOP/DR (Continuity of Operations/Disaster Recovery) plans.
• Perform certification of IS and networks.
• Operate Host Based Security System (HBSS), firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs, and other security tools.
• Perform defensive cyber operations including:

• Ensuring workstation/server compliance with client's HBSS requirements.
• Identifying cybersecurity incidents using HBSS, Tenable SecurityCenter, RedSeal, McAfee SIEM, and other tools.
• Operating Imperva Web Application and Database firewalls.
• Conducting forensics and remedial actions on cybersecurity incidents.
• Reporting defensive cyber operations statistics.

• Proven experience in cybersecurity operations and IS security management.
• Hands-on experience with HBSS, SIEM tools, VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires Sec+ (Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II)
