- Install, repair, and maintain gas plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Ensure compliance with California Uniform Plumbing Code (CUPC), Los Angeles Plumbing Code, San Diego Plumbing Code, and other local regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing installations.
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues related to water pressure, drainage, leaks, or faulty systems.
- Install fixtures and water-saving devices (e.g., low-flow faucets, tankless water heaters) in compliance with California’s Title 24 Energy Efficiency Standards.
- Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in line with safety regulations (including Cal/OSHA guidelines).
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with clients regarding plumbing needs, estimates, and solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Be on-call for emergency service as needed, including after-hours or weekend work.
- Valid California Journeyman Plumber License (issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a state-certified plumbing apprenticeship program.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing.
- In-depth knowledge of California plumbing codes, local building codes (Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange), and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency with plumbing tools, testing equipment, and technology (pipe locators, pressure gauges, etc.).
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Familiarity with California Title 24 energy efficiency standards.
- Ability to work in various settings, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial sites.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to hot, cold, or wet conditions depending on the job site.
- Some jobs may require travel between different counties (Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego).
