DescriptionEver wondered who closes the roads and sets up all those barricades at US Bank Stadium, Allianz Field, TC Marathon, and other special events around the state? It takes a special crew of motivated individuals from Warning Lites and we are expanding our workforce! From parades to fireworks, fun runs to triathlons, concerts to block parties and more, Warning Lites' Special Events Division keeps these day-to-day operations on track in high profile settings.Successful candidates will enjoy the challenges and demands of this position both physically and mentally. Candidates do not need previous industry experience, but should have a willingness to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment. Individuals interested in this position should have problem-solving and creative thinking skills, leadership and teamwork abilities. In Warning Lites' Special Events Division, our work is well-organized and promotes a welcoming atmosphere for friendly teamwork.Responsibilities:
  • Working both independently and as a part of a small group
  • Operating company vehicles to deliver/pickup and setup/takedown traffic and pedestrian control equipment
  • Placing signs, cones, barricades, and other traffic and pedestrian control devices to guide the motoring and foot traffic public through an event space safely (this involves lane closures/shifts, road closures, pedestrian accessibility, and more)
  • Teaming with event professionals, volunteers, and police to secure and fulfill the customer’s vision in a safe and timely manner
  • Loading/unloading trucks, equipment maintenance, and general upkeep
Basic Requirements:
  • Valid Class A CDL, with an acceptable driving record (as determined by our insurance company standards).
  • Working knowledge of the English language sufficient to read, write, speak, and understand verbal/oral communication
  • Orientation/map-reading skills sufficient to translate equipment lists/layouts into the real world
  • Must have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Flexibility to work long hours including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays during Spring/Summer/Fall months
  • Ability to physically perform under strenuous/adverse field conditions, including lifting and carrying heavy (50+ pounds) objects and walking/standing for long periods of time
