Duties:Under general supervision performs maintenance, troubleshooting, research and fact-finding to respond to hardware (desktop, telephony, and clinical equipment), software, network (data and voice) and enterprise applications issues/requests in support of CHS patient and non-patient care areas. Essential Functions: • Learns and performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of general patient and non-patient care equipment/applications • Assists and documents routine maintenance in compliance with current policies and procedures • Accepts on call responsibilities, supports customer emergency issues and escalates to the appropriate person or group as needed • Provides basic technical in-service education for clinical and non-clinical staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment • Assists in various projects involving department moves and equipment installations • Assists with management of inventory levels for break/fix and spare equipment/parts, ensuring proper tracking • Performs and documents department inventories • Applies appropriate customer service skills to meet CHS/department initiatives • Demonstrates basic written and oral communication skills as needed or when requested • Possesses good listening and verbal skills • Able to work as a team member • Produces accurate and complete work Physical Requirements: Environment is subject to high-level visibility through exposure to patient population and to CHS administration. Ability to work in patient care areas independently under stressful conditions. Some heavy lifting and carrying (up to 35 lbs.) is required. Continuous standing and walking is required. All other physical requirements vary according to the duty that is to be performed on the assortment of CHS equipment. Exposure to electrical hazardous equipment and potential biohazards exist. Routine on-call responsibilities are required. Due to schedules and support needs within CHS, additional evening and weekend hours may be required at times for conversions, training, inclement weather, disasters, etc. Each employee has the responsibility to work in a safe manner. Must have reliable, personal transportation for daily trips to and from CHS facilities. Must also be able to carry CHS equipment in personal automobile between CHS facilities. Meets CHS Transportation requirements - CHS Defensive Driving Class and Motor Vehicle Report screening - for certification to drive CHS vehicles.Skills:.
