- Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair mechanical and electronic failures to return equipment to factory specifications utilizing appropriate technical documentation, schematics, and procedures.
- Comply with all applicable safety procedures for working on mechanical and electronic devices including lock-out/tag out and anti-static procedures.
- Attend training courses or activities for various systems and sub-systems as required.
- Maintain time and repair records for all equipment serviced during shift.
- Confer with manager to prioritize maintenance and repairs based on production needs.
- Work with inventory coordinator to ensure stock levels are maintained as needed.
- Diagnose and perform routine maintenance/repairs involving the following: Electronic circuits/wiring, Drive and feed belts, AC/DC brush and brushless motors, Drive chains, Servo motors, Vacuum pumps/compressors, Electromechanical solenoids, brakes, clutches, Shafts, pulleys, gears and bearings, Photosensors, Pneumatic hoses, fittings and solenoids.
- High school diploma or GED preferred. Additional technical training or certifications in specialized mechanical or electronic/electrical fields is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience as a production/manufacturing machine technician or similar role required; experience in a high-volume print and mail environment is a major plus.
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Flexibility in work schedule to work overtime when needed is required.
