Job DetailsJob Location: Seattle, WAPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $125000.00 - $150000.00 Salary/yearDescriptionAs Director of Communications, you will partner with senior leadership to shape and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that elevates Kline Galland’s brand, supports fundraising initiatives, and enhances public engagement. You will oversee internal and external communications, media relations, social media, and brand management, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing and communications plan to enhance visibility and support fundraising.
  • Lead editorial direction, design, and production of all publications and media content.
  • Manage social media channels and digital presence.
  • Serve as the primary media contact and spokesperson, including crisis communications.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all print and digital materials.
  • Provide strategic counsel to internal teams on communications and positioning.
  • Monitor industry trends and conduct market research to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer on donor communications and fundraising campaigns.
  • Oversee budgets, staff, and contracted services related to communications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven success in media relations, content creation, and brand management.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with Jewish culture and traditions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with Raiser's Edge NXT is a bonus.
  • Membership in IABC and accreditation preferred.
