- Develop and implement a strategic marketing and communications plan to enhance visibility and support fundraising.
- Lead editorial direction, design, and production of all publications and media content.
- Manage social media channels and digital presence.
- Serve as the primary media contact and spokesperson, including crisis communications.
- Ensure brand consistency across all print and digital materials.
- Provide strategic counsel to internal teams on communications and positioning.
- Monitor industry trends and conduct market research to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer on donor communications and fundraising campaigns.
- Oversee budgets, staff, and contracted services related to communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
- Proven success in media relations, content creation, and brand management.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Jewish culture and traditions is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with Raiser's Edge NXT is a bonus.
- Membership in IABC and accreditation preferred.
