Join us and make a meaningful impact on the future of energy and transportation.Job Summary:The Product and Customer Quality Intern will support Panasonic Energy’s efforts to ensure world-class quality standards in both product performance and customer satisfaction. This role provides hands-on experience in quality systems, data analysis, and manufacturing process evaluation, with opportunities to collaborate directly with engineering and customer-facing teams. Interns will learn how to apply statistical tools, validation techniques, and ISO 9001 principles to real-world production challenges. By the end of the program, participants will gain valuable technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for a career in quality and manufacturing engineering.Internship Details:
12-week Program: Monday, May 18th - Friday, August 7th (dates are subject to change)
The program will be a full-time paid summer internship working for Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America onsite in DeSoto, KS
Must be able to attend the entirety of the internship
Assist in monitoring and maintaining quality processes that address both product performance and customer requirements
Update and maintain documentation related to customer quality issues and corrective actions
Data Analysis & Process Evaluation:
Analyze process inputs/outputs using statistical tools, Python, JMP, SPC/SQC concepts, and MSA techniques
Support validation activities, including cell disassembly and testing, to confirm product reliability
Continuous Improvement & Compliance:
Contribute to the design of offline quality-related parts to improve inspection efficiency and safety
Assist in implementing processes aligned with ISO 9001:2015 compliance standards
Laboratory & Technical Work:
Utilize advanced lab equipment such as CT Scanners, SEM, and Keyence microscopes (IM/VR series) to collect and evaluate data
Support quality projects through testing, data collection, and reporting
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools
Ability to apply scientific and logical reasoning to complex problems
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
