Description :Duties and Functions:
  • Lead a crew of livestock and feed drivers, including scheduling loads, dispatching, time and payroll management, employee relations and performance management
  • Collaborate with supply chain, production operations and external customers to gain weekly requirements of Maschhoff Transport resource needs for schedule building
  • Build and dispatch drivers to a weekly load schedule compliant with transport biosecurity requirements and company standard operating procedures
  • Monitor and review the financial and operational performance of the fleet through weekly and monthly metric reports
  • Conduct driver biosecurity protocol audits
  • Conduct root cause analysis for Transport operational and financial metrics that do not meet target, develop and implement countermeasures and action plans to improve performance based on analysis findings
  • Conduct bi-annual Performance Management reviews with each driver to discuss performance objectives in the areas of service, safety and utilization by reinforcing positive behaviors while also identifying opportunities for improvement in areas that may have fallen below expectations
  • Responsible for answering after-hours calls from drivers as needed
  • Ensure that pig transportation is conducted in a manner that safeguards the environment, mitigates safety risk, maintains regulatory compliance and meets the TQA standards for animal welfare
  • Champions a safe working environment by educating employees on safety procedures and incident reporting protocols, reports accidents and work related injuries and complies with all company personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
Minimum QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree preferredExperience: 3 years in livestock hauling, transportation operations, or driver managementSkills & AbilitiesKnowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
  • Accounting and financial evaluation
  • Time and resource management tools to ensure continuous process improvement
  • FMCSA safety regulations

Compensation:
Targeted pay range of $63,158-$70,000 USD annually, depending on experience and qualifications.Benefits:
