
IT Business Analyst

- Ensure changes to the application are compliant with client standards and policies
- Assist users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting, and may help configure test solutions to validate functional and system needs
- Identify, document and troubleshoot application related problems
- Document process, procedures and workflows associated with applications
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Build expertise in creating, analyzing, and improving processes
- Create, maintain and present training materials for end-users
- Provide support to Testing to clarify requirements, to ensure that test plans and scripts satisfy the requirements and determine whether a defect is a new requirement, or truly a defect
- Excellent analytical skills and at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, working closely with business partners to elicit requirements, document process flows, identify risks and mitigation and participate in definition of strategies for the technical solution
- Experience documenting detailed functional and technical requirements for business requirements in JIRA as any Issue Type
- Ability to communicate and work with developers to ensure that acceptance criteria for the user stories are understood and applied
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to facilitate discussions, conduct presentations and deliver technical requirements
- Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision
- Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to analyze existing capabilities and identify gaps and opportunities
- Knowledge of project managements principles, practices, techniques and tools (Waterfall Agile)
- Technology project background
- Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility
- Strong team player with superior time management skills
- Working knowledge of agile tools such as JIRA/Confluence and Jira align
