Vaco is hiring a Manufacturing Assembler II located in Oakland Park, FL. This role requires someone with heavy attention to detail. Work Schedule is Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5pm.POSITION PURPOSEPerform more complex, variable electromechanical assembly according to Bill of Material (BOM). Bill of Operations (BOO), assembly drawings and/or other work instructions.DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure accurate and efficient assembly of fabricated products per work orderFollow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and job safety requirementsIn-line testingFinal visual and functional inspection of product, as required per instructionsIdentify and isolate any non-conforming productAssist with ensuring the safety, cleanliness and maintenance of work area, equipment and entire plantInvolved in cycle/physical counts, as requiredCross train in multiple department functions, as neededPerform other duties according to business needsQUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Skills)High School or equivalent (i.e. GED), and 2 to 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experienceAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals)Ability to read and write English and follow verbal & written instructions preferredAbility to work effectively alone and within a team environmentExperienced with multiple complex assembly processesPrior experience with electrical assemblies is a plus.Prior experience building electromechanical devicesElectromechanical certification is a plusExperience utilizing specialized tooling and/or test/assembly fixturesOTHERThe following other characteristics described below are representative of those encountered by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
