The Engineering Manager will begin taking a lead on Engineering projects at my client's facility in the suburbs of Chicago. My client is growing impressively and has ambitious expansion plans. Within the first 6-12 months, this person will take on a full team of Mechanical Engineers & Technicians.
  • Take the lead on major Engineering projects, including but not limited to: customer contact, design reviews, process flow/routing
  • Optimize equipment & facility layouts
  • Spearhead LEAN/continuous improvement projects with aim of increasing production capabilities & reducing costs
  • Oversee a team of Engineers, and be responsible for professional development & reviews
  • Play key role in new product development projects
  • Oversee capital projects including cost justification & equipment sourcing

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
  • 5+ years' experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in manufacturing - must have overseen Engineering staff
  • Background in machining, fabrication, or other metals manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software - AutoCAD, SolidWorks
  • Experience handling interactions with customers & vendors
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Base salary $115,000 - $145,000 depending on level of experience
