Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?
  • Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
  • If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.
Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam
  • Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
  • Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Delivery Helper / Warehouse Details:
  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $16.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • Unload incoming appliances as they are delivered to the warehouse
  • Assist with breaking appliances out of the crates carefully
  • Load appliances scheduled for deliveries onto work truck
  • Keep area clean and free of trash, including delivery vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned
Delivery Helper / Warehouse Qualifications:
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. and team lift over 75lbs.
  • Warehouse experience a plus and preferred
  • Delivery experience a plus
  • Must be able to go up and down the back of the delivery truck and stairs (when applicable).
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
