Merrimack Manufacturing is a medical device manufacturer located in the Manchester Millyard. We are a growing start-up manufacturing company that will play a crucial part in bringing innovative and life changing products to life.This entry level position will assist in identification and implementation of process, procedure, and system improvements in a medical manufacturing environment. For example, qualification process, process validations, skip lot process, change process, specification creation and review, evaluating and investigating non-conformances and corrective and preventive actions found in manufacturing and from customer complaints. Coordinate with existing Quality Engineers and cross-functional areas to determine robust root cause analysis of production issues to determine the best courses of action. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. The tasks are generally routine and manual. The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Participate in quality assurance activities; supporting Inspection and Quality Engineering.
  • Assist in continuous improvement, nonconformance resolution and CAPA projects.
  • Develop forms, procedures and implement process control systems to support the development, qualification, and ongoing manufacturing of products.
  • Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues.
  • Effective communication and ability to communicate cross functionally with all levels.
  • Knowledge of science, math; ability to apply critical thinking
  • Self-starter and independent individual with strong organizational, time management and computer skills.
EXPERIENCE:
  • No professional experience required. Must be a Junior, Senior or graduate student.
  • Prior Internship experience in the medical device field preferred
