DescriptionPlease complete the County application to include current and previous work history and education. A resume may be attached, but not substituted for completing work history and education sections of the application or to determine if an applicant has met the minimum qualifications and additional requirements for the position.DutiesGather photo and video materials for campaigns.Interact with and maintain relationships with sponsors, nonprofit organizations, school districts, etc..Research target audience to create digital marketing campaigns and discover advertising opportunities.Generate promotional materials/ideas for upcoming events.Develop social media content for various platforms.Data analysis of campaign deployment - gauge performance of the campaigns using data gathered during and after launch (Are the campaigns reaching the right audience?).Writing press releases/social media posts about upcoming events in the county.Represent Dorchester County at outreach fairs and events.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.Currently enrolled or recently graduated in one of these areas: Marketing, Park and Recreation Management, Communication/Graphic Communication, Public Relation, Journalism and related field/coursework within two years of the closing of this post.Fluent social media experience.Experience with photography and videography, editing experience is a plus.Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and walk around parks/trails.Experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok is preferredMust have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average and an instructor or professor recommendation.Must be available to work twenty hours minimum and twenty-five hours maximum per week starting in January 2026 for 12 weeks.Reliable transportation to and from our St. George office with occasional travel to the Summerville office.Additional RequirementsStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient skill with Microsoft products.
Familiarity with AI a plus.
