OverviewFull Remote Near OSF LocationCandidates with coding experience along with experience, understanding and knowledge of chargemaster maintenance are encouraged to apply.POSITION SUMMARY:The Charge Description Master (CDM)/Charge Capture Analyst ensures complete, accurate, timely and compliant charge capture within OSF HealthCare. The Analyst is responsible for providing support for the management and coordination of the CDM. This position supports and maintains processes to optimize revenue through charge master reviews, audits and reconciliation of charges. This position assists with the annual CDM review and provides guidance to facilities for coding inquiries related to CDM and opportunities to optimize reimbursement through proper matching of revenue codes and HCPCS/CPT codes.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's Degree and 3 years of healthcare rev cycle exp. OR High School with 5 years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle.Working knowledge of hospital billing, coding, charging and charge capture.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Proficiency in EPIC RHIA, RHIT or Coding Certification.Other skills/knowledge Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
