With over 2000 global patents, Victaulic solutions are at work in more than 140 countries across diverse business lines including oil and gas, chemical, mining, power generation, water and wastewater treatment, military and marine, as well as commercial building and fire protection.The Senior Financial Analyst supports the FP&A Manager by providing forward-looking decision support and preparing insightful planning and analysis.
Continuously enhance knowledge of Victaulic's products and operational processes
Gain an understanding of the business (products & operations) through constant interaction with operations team and management
Deliverables:
Provide support to operations and management for financial analyses and scenario planning
Business partner with operations team
Analyze KPIs - support management with data driven analysis
Review results, communicate variances
Cost savings program measurement & analysis
Continuous review of financial drivers to develop actionable commentary
Provide monthly reports and present to management team
Prepare analysis for communication to management team
Drive new topics for presentation
Annual Budget
Provide analysis requested by management team
Prepare and deliver executive presentations
Continually improve forecasting process
Assist in annual product re-costing
Capital Planning / Spend Analysis
Review/update ROI on significant capital investments
Special Projects - Assist management with Business Cases (NPD), Process Optimization, M&A support, Capacity Planning, etc.
Provide ad-hoc analysis as requested by management
Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives and decision making
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 7+ years of related business experience- MBA or CPA degree a plus
Courage and curiosity to ask questions and change processes- this position works closely with senior management.
Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
Ability to interact with all levels of operations management and team
Periodic travel to select facilities as required
Results oriented with ability to work under tight timelines
A team player with a “can do” attitude with a roll up your sleeves working style
Expert knowledge of excel and exposure to CPM (OneStream, HFM) / BI (Qlik / Tableau / Power BI), strong power point and presentation skills needed
A solid understanding of database structure (CRM, data warehouse, ERP, etc.) and experience with a variety of financial systems.
Ability to manage large volumes of work, prioritize and execute
Act as a change agent - someone who can adapt to and drive a culture change within this organization.
