Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector invites you to bring your pioneering spirit to our collaborative teams.As an Automated-Testing Systems Engineer, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.This role can be located in either Morrisville, North Carolina or Fairfax, Virginia. Compensation varies on location. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.In this job:The successful candidate is expected to operate with oversight in a dynamic environment and to be highly self-motivated. The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments, including writing tests and assisting with test design, finding unique solutions, and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment that continues to grow.Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:Create the automated testing environment and scripts.Work with the various systems/software elements to verify drivers.Onboard the SEIT and SW teams with Gherkin style and Zephyr.Function with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback.Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.Ensures systems/software standards are met.This position is contingent upon clearance verification and transfer to the NG sponsored program as well as continued ability to maintain required clearance level.Basic Qualifications (required):This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4 , depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance at the time of applicationMust be willing/able to submit for and successfully pass a polygraphLevel 3:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years of professional experienceMaster’s degree in a STEM field with 3 years of professional experiencePhD in a STEM field with 1 year of professional experience)(excluding internships, research projects, etc.)Level 4:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8 years of professional experienceMaster’s degree in a STEM field with 6 years of professional experiencePhD in a STEM field with 4 years of professional experience(excluding internships, research projects, etc.)Experience with Satellite Ground Software System verification including Command and Control (C2) and Space vehicle mission managementExperience with integration and test (planning, execution, and documentation)Experience with different testing tools and automationPreferred Qualifications:Favorably adjudicated CI or FS polygraphExperience with programming languages (Python, MATLAB, C, C++, Java)Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Visio, Cameo, JIRA, Confluence, BitbucketExperience with Systems Tool Kit (SDK)Experience with Gherkin/Cucumber, GitlabExperience with Agile program executionExperience with AWS and DockerCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? For more information on our Total Rewards package, please visit our Total Rewards site.Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $165,500.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
