- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering functions team, primarily Manufacturing Engineering and CNC Programming.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and optimize engineering resources, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Candidate will have direct involvement with NPI as well as improving existing product efficiencies and yields.
- Lead continuous improvements projects.
- Head equipment and other capital investment plans to meet capacity and technology requirements.
- Promote customer relationships.
- Communicates clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
- Completes annual performance review process for direct reports.
- Sets and achieves goals and assists direct reports in doing likewise.
- Support proposal, technical write-ups, and provide quotes to Sales and BD.
- Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
- Demonstrated Leadership Experience including the ability to drive teams to common goals, empower those teams, and manage/resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to create, support, and enhance specific action plans.
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced by events.
- Project engineering experience estimating, planning, scheduling, and implementing budget control for engineering work.
- Candidate should possess a BA/BS or equivalent with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
- Generally, has 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
- Previous experience with aerospace manufacturing, including experience with machining, complex assembly, metals and composites, and systems engineering.
