Complete requested material requisition forms and timely delivery of goods to internal customers.RequirementsEducation and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to drive or be licensed to drive a fork truck. Will train on the job
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Basic math and business writing skills
  • Ability to learn new programs, activities and tasks
  • Good oral/written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Production/manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, planning and documentation skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect hi-lo daily and complete inspection checklist.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Empty chip hoppers as needed and clean any leftover debris.
  • Break down boxes and remove from pallets.
  • Remove old labels from empty dunnage before returning dunnage to the production line.
  • Store material correctly and efficiently when received from supplier.
  • Follow FIFO procedures.
  • Assist in daily maintenance of all material storage areas.
  • Assist in monthly inventory process.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of material handling process.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Complete special assignments as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Employee acts independently to handle standard problems but usually reports such problems. More unusual problems are referred to a supervisor/manager.
  • Major responsibilities do not typically require exercising independent judgement.
  • Detailed instructions or established procedures are usually available as guidelines for most aspects of the job.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Outdoor and extreme weather conditions
  • Exposure to vibration 70% of the time
  • Distance vision required to drive fork truck
  • Moderate exposure to noise
