- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
- Provide price quotes per customer request.
- Communicate with customers regarding inquiries, sales and status of parts.
- Review body shop estimates to be sure the pricing is correct and the correct parts are ordered.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Maintain a weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order as needed.
- Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on a service repair order.
- Ensure that orders are processed and billed correctly.
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
- Pull and fill orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Perform accurate inventory counts as assigned in accordance to the cycle and annual scheduled physical counts.
- Assist with displaying and stocking retail sales floor.
- Practice general safety by keeping work/warehouse/dealership clean and free of debris.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships and clear communication with customers and fellow employees.
- Represent Peterbilt of Wyoming in a professional and friendly manner.
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
- Have experience with auto parts sales (preferred).
- Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Read, interpret and comply with safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as; discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat to stoop on a regular basis.
- Be able to, occasionally, lift or move up to 50lbs.
- Posses and maintains current Wyoming driver license with a clean driving record.
