The hourly range for this position is $25.89 to $27.38 and is commensurate with experience.Position Description: The Recovery Support Specialist is tasked with traveling to Single Adult housing programs to deliver Recovery Support Services and supervision, encompassing the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) Recovery Support Services (RSS) and Environmental Services (ES) program. The role involves delivering intensive case management through automated billable recovery services to Single Adult Housing (SAH) residents enrolled in RSS and ES.Schedule: Monday - Friday, (3) days 8:00 am - 4:30 pm & (2) days 11:00 am - 7:30 pm (40 hours per week)Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; 5-7 years of experience in case management with experience providing documented billable services in addiction treatment. Must have at least 1 year of experience using ECW, Credible, or some other automated billing serviceRequired License/Certification: Basic Life Support [CPR & AED] Provider, Valid Driver's LicenseExpected Contributions: Program Administration
- Ensure that Recovery Support Services and Environmental Stability services are billed appropriately. Able to assess and create a recovery support plan. Able to create fluid person-centered documentation using the S.O.A.P format.
- Identify program opportunities to provide direction, oversight, and leadership in program development, redesign, and implementation; support program initiatives for expansion and improvement.
- Work collaboratively across teams within SOME and network with outside agencies to ensure appropriate and necessary recovery support services.
- Oversee and complete monthly financial reports, including individual resident escrow deposits, total deposits for each SAH program, and ensure escrow deposits and escrow account totals are balanced and consistent.
- Complete the monthly Environmental Stability Escrow statement and review for accuracy before submitting to the Finance Department
- Complete a monthly progress report for each resident in the Environmental Stability Program and send it to the designated staff at the Department of Behavioral Health.
- Oversee and complete monthly financial reports, including individual resident escrow deposits, total deposits for each SAH program, and ensure escrow deposits and escrow account totals are balanced and consistent.
- Coordinate programs with the DC Department of Behavioral Health staff. Submit paperwork to DBH and into the Client Health Record.
- Provide group services for residents in Recovery Support Services and Environmental Services
- Maintain all required documents and input information into ECW, DBH database system
- Provide weekly individual services for residents in RSS and ES.
- Maintain tracking information on residents in RSS and ES.
- Identifies and provides support needed to assist with referrals from the SAH Rapid Reengagement program.
- Assess and interpret client eligibility guidelines for enrollment into the Environmental Services program in order to recruit, qualify, and enroll eligible residents; manage caseload and monitor participation.
- Identify and establish resources to develop customized plans and coordinate services for residents in Recovery Support Services and Environmental Stability Services.
- Independently and effectively communicate verbally and in writing residents' progress and participation in RSS and ES with the SAH teams
- Upon completion of the RSS, coordinate and work in conjunction with the Service Coordinators and the resident to incorporate the recovery plan into the life plan. Responsible for coordinating meetings
- Monitor all recovery support service groups to ensure groups are well-run, organized, and engaging.
- Meet all Environmental Stability discharge requirements and transfer plans to Service Coordinators
- Coordinate programs with the DC Department of Behavioral Health
- Assist residents in Recovery Support Services and Environmental Services to develop recovery goals
- Assist residents in the Rapid Re-engagement Program to complete a Change Plan worksheet.
- Provide individual services for residents in the Rapid Re-engagement Program
- Assist residents in the Environmental Stability program to secure resources for permanent housing
- Provide ongoing skilled group facilitation according to need
