- Assist in the development and implementation of system architectures, requirements, and specifications
- Collaborate with stakeholders and domain experts to ensure system design meets customer needs and requirements
- Conduct trade studies evaluating design alternatives to inform architectural decisions that optimizes performance, cost, and requirements
- Conduct analysis of system performance and provide recommendations for improvements
- Utilize modeling tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, IBM DOORS, and others
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation
- Participate in design reviews and testing activities.
- Participate in interoperability planning and modeling.
- Participate in modeling and simulation architecture, with an emphasis on software defined architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably a physics-based engineering discipline (e.g., Aerospace, Mechanical, or similar).
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering of government systems
- Practitioner of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, etc.)
- Understanding of systems engineering processes and system life cycles
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Understanding of DoD interoperability
- Self-motivated, adaptable with a growth mindset
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- US Citizen; Minimum of DoD Secret Clearance
- Knowledge of defense industry standards and practices (e.g., CCB, requirements management and traceability, document approval, configuration management)
- Comprehension of a variety of engineering disciplines to support system level discussions and impacts
- Familiarity with the principles of MOSA, interoperability, and modeling and simulation
- US Citizenship Required
- Minimum of DoD Secret Clearance Required.
