
Senior Producer, External Development

- Build, maintain, and improve strong working relationships with external studios to ensure projects stay on track, meet quality expectations, and align with business objectives.
- Partner with development teams to ensure player expectations and creative vision are met while keeping production schedules, risk assessments, and publishing roadmaps synchronized between studios and the publishing organization.
- Proactively identify and resolve challenges faced by external studios by bringing to bear internal resources, services, and vendor network.
- Review and manage project budgets, supervise financial forecasts, and address potential overruns in coordination with studios, outsourcing partners, and internal publishing teams.
- Ensure alignment with quality targets, timelines, and budgets through clear expectation setting, milestone reviews, and structured feedback loops based on internal or contractual agreements.
- Work alongside User Research, Market Research, and QA teams to maintain high-quality standards across all projects.
- Collaborate with publishing and release management teams to guide projects from early development through launch across all supported platforms.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
- Must be onsite at our headquarters in Renton, WA!
- 10+ years of experience in game development, having successfully launched titles as both an internal and external/publishing Senior Producer.
- A passion for D&D and extensive knowledge of the Baldur's Gate video games is critical
- Expertise in structuring milestone review processes, as well as implementing risk mitigation and approval strategies.
- Meticulous and highly organized, capable of thriving in fast-paced environments while leading meetings, capturing key insights, and driving discussions.
- Extensive experience in developing console (Xbox/PlayStation) and/or PC titles, a detailed understanding of platform-specific submission and release processes.
- Strong ability to assess project quality, anticipate development hurdles, and proactively address risks at all stages of production.
- A proactive mindset—willing to take ownership of challenges and provide support where needed, regardless of the task.
- Financial savvy: expertise handling budgets, balancing scope expectations, and communicating financial considerations to executive leadership.
- Familiarity with industry platform holders (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) and experience driving projects through their entire lifecycle.
