Job DescriptionJob Title: DevOps/Cloud EngineerSummary:We are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our software development lifecycle, improving deployment processes, and enhancing system reliability. You will work closely with development, operations, and other teams to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and ensure efficient and reliable delivery of our applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in DevOps and Cloud Engineering, the ability to collaborate with Engineering teams to develop solutions to complex technical problems, and excellent communication skills.Wage Type: SalariedEssential Duties & Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily.   • Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Implementation of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud environments.
  • Actively promote DevOps Culture across the Engineering and Product teams.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and system failures.
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for scalable and efficient application deployment and management.
  • Ensure the security of infrastructure and applications by implementing best practices, security controls, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure operational excellence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and performance in a timely manner.

Organizational Structure:Reports to: Head of Systems OperationsQualifications:Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
  • Experience building, deploying, monitoring, and scaling workloads in AWS.
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code including creating and maintaining modules.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and creating pipelines to support the full software development.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience automating toil automating toil out of day-to-day workflows.
  • Ability to communicate and document technical details.
  • An understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Strong scripting experience in Python, Powershell, Bash, or other scripting language
  • Ability to analyze information and make logical recommendations.
  • Linux System Administration.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working for a bank or in another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience working with offshore resources in EMEA.
  • Experience working with Spacelift or other Terraform Automation and Control tools.
  • Experience working with New Relic or other SAAS monitoring platforms.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, Github Actions, or other CICD Tooling
  • Experience working with CloudFlare.
  • Experience working with Ansible or other configuration as code tools.
  • Experience with repository and artifact management.
  • Understanding of cloud security practices and compliance standards.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies is desirable.
