
Life Enrichment Director

Design and oversee a dynamic calendar of activities, events, outings, and enrichment programs that reflect residents' interests, abilities, and needs across all levels of care.Resident Engagement:
Foster a warm, inclusive environment by encouraging participation and building strong relationships with residents and families. Adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical abilities, especially for Memory Care residents.Team Leadership:
Supervise and support Life Enrichment Assistants or Coordinators. Provide training, delegate responsibilities, and maintain consistent team coverage across all areas.Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Work closely with nursing, dietary, and other departments to ensure cohesive support for resident programs and events.Volunteer & Community Relations:
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers. Build partnerships with local organizations, entertainers, and schools to bring enriching experiences into the community.Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of participation, resident assessments, and activity plans. Ensure all programming meets state and federal regulatory guidelines, especially those governing Assisted Living and Memory Care.Event Planning:
Organize large-scale community events for residents, families, and the public that enhance community engagement and visibility.Qualifications:Minimum 2–3 years of experience in senior living, therapeutic recreation, or related field. Experience with Memory Care strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, social work, or a related field preferred.Strong understanding of the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of seniors, including those with dementia.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to lead group activities and motivate team members.Proficient in Microsoft Office and activity planning software.Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)Activity Director Certification (NCCAP or equivalent)Dementia Care or Alzheimer’s Training CertificationPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift 25 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods.Must be able to assist residents with mobility during events and outings.Compensation:
