- Partner closely with team members to learn business operations and identify the analytic needs of various roles
- Design and build intuitive dashboards and data models in PowerBI and Salesforce Analytics Studio to enable self-service analytics
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and identify salient trends and patterns in the data
- Implement statistical methodologies including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, variable reduction, and clustering
- Guide business decisions related to market segment strategy, marketing spend, pricing, product roadmap, and sales programs
- Synthesize and present large amounts of information in a universally understandable way to enable partners to explore and identify patterns for business improvement
- Convert findings into impactful recommendations and present compelling story to business leaders
- Support governance of data usage to ensure consistency, including development of data dictionary and guidance/rules on usage of specific metrics
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in analytics or relevant work experience, advanced degree preferred. 4+ years demonstrable experience applying data to analytics and decision making, preferably within a wholesale or retail industry or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mentality
- Knowledge of statistical concepts and sophisticated analytic techniques
- Experience with dashboard design and data visualization using tools such as PowerBI
- Solid grasp of SQL for data querying, manipulation, and retrieval
- Proven stakeholder-management skills including requirement gathering, establishing vision, managing expectations, collecting feedback, continuous improvement, and consistent communication
- Attention to detail and data accuracy. Dedication to quality assurance
- Superb communication and presentation skills
- Experience in Power Query M formula language, cloud-based data management a plus
- Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python, cloud databases such as Azure, and data science platforms such as Databricks are a plus
