Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse CoordinatorLocation: Dickson, TN Job Type: Full-Time, RegularAbout the OpportunityA top healthcare client in Dickson is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead and support the Labor & Delivery unit during overnight shifts. This is a vital leadership role for a nurse who thrives in high-acuity environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.Position OverviewAs the CNC, you will oversee clinical operations, coordinate patient care, and serve as a key resource for nursing staff. You'll work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the highest standards of care and operational efficiency, while fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead admission and discharge processes to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing care in alignment with hospital policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to drive improved outcomes
  • Support patient-first initiatives and engage in service recovery when needed
  • Promote staff engagement through rounding, hourly checks, and other nursing strategies
  • Participate in hiring, training, and performance management of nursing staff
  • Manage staff scheduling and labor needs based on patient volume and productivity goals
  • Oversee inventory control and assist with supply and equipment management
  • Serve as Charge Nurse and Assistant Nurse Manager during overnight shifts
  • Deliver babies and scrub in for OR procedures as needed
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Prior leadership experience in Women's Services, L&D, NICU, or Mother-Baby Units
  • Must be comfortable serving as the primary overnight leader and clinical resource
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire
