- 1. Executes supervisory responsibilities over assigned staff.
- 1.1 Establishes and issues schedules which reflect the appropriate utilization for routine distribution, and on-demand distribution consistent with overall hospital needs.
- 2. Customer and Patient Service responsibilities
- 2.1 Ensures all staff our maintaining and always excelling at customer service in striving for excellence in patient care at YNHH.
- 3. Ensures adequate supplies of equipment are maintained to meet patient flow requirements.
- 3.1 Monitors BMD and ensures bed inventory is maintained and distributed to patient care units as needed.
- 4. Equipment acquisition, inventory, and recovery.
- 4.1 Monitors the INFOR materials system to track status of equipment purchase orders.
- 5. Maintenance of Environment of Care.
- 5.1 Ensures all materials areas are operating in accordance with regulatory standards for workplace safety. (OSHA, DPH, JCAHO, CMS etc.).
- 6. Utilizes Materials Management System and other information systems as necessary.
- 6.1 Utilizes Hospital Materials and HR system, to process requisitions and workflow for materials, Finance and HR operations.
- 7. Performs other assignments as needed. Maintain all proper inspections on department vehicles.
- 7.1 Perform monthly safety audits and correct any issues in identified.
- 8. Responsible for the preparation of stock orders based on Inventory usage, and communication of requirements to purchasing.
- 9. Oversees The Conducting Of Physical Inventories In The Warehouse And Stockroom.
- 10. Develops And Maintains All Staffing Schedules For The Warehouse, Stockroom, Distribution, Courier And Mailroom Personnel.
- 11. Prepares And Justifies Annual Staff And Supply Budgets For The Warehouse, Storeroom, Distribution And Mailroom.
- 12. Meets Performance Expectations For Customer Service, Teamwork, Resource Utilization And Staff And Self Development As Outlined In Performance Review.
- 13. Performs Other Duties As Assigned Or Directed To Ensure Smooth Operation Of The Department/Unit.
