
Customer Service Technician I

- You will respond to service calls to assess and restore the performance of installed systems and equipment, both during installation and in post-installation operational phases.
- You will participate in equipment installation, trial runs, testing, repairs, and overhauls of both parcel and postal logistics systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- You will assist in training customers on the operation, care, and preventive maintenance of installed equipment and systems.
- You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools, test equipment, and installed systems, documenting all inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and failures.
- You will recommend modifications or improvements to enhance system functionality, reliability, and efficiency.
- You will support performance evaluations of installed systems based on field data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- You will identify technical issues as they occur and take appropriate, timely actions to resolve them safely and effectively.
- You will collaborate with project management, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project delivery and sustained system performance.
- You have exposure working with Allen Bradley and Siemens family PLCs
- You have experience working with PLC's HMI's VFD's, MCC's and electrical power distribution systems.
- You have an understanding on Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ASI Bus, and Modbus TCP industrial control/IT networks.
- You have proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving in industrial environments.
- You have skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical work and interact effectively with customers.
- You have self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges and tasks.
- You have worked independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- You have willingness to travel on short notice and spend up to 50% of work time traveling, including extended periods away from home.
- You have availability to work during off-hours, including weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts.
- You have high school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification or associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical technology preferred.
- You have Bachelor's degree in engineering is a plus.
- You have minimum of 2 years' experience troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment, with some experience in automated material handling systems preferred.
