We are looking for a Mechanic!Matcor by BrandSafway is a leading cathodic protection and corrosion prevention company; providing materials and services to global clients for over 40 years. An expert in the field of cathodic protection, MATCOR offers proprietary corrosion protection products, installation, cathodic protection testing, maintenance and complete corrosion protection project management. The salary range for this position is $38 - $45 hourly. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.Schedule: Monday-Friday Days (Possible weekends depending on business need)

Pay: $38-50/hr
Location: Midland, TXKey Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, and other machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and service complex hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, and valves.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and preventative services according to equipment schedules.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet job deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Strong expertise in hydraulic systems (troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and rebuilding).
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and service manuals.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and general mechanical repair.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certifications a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Certification in hydraulic systems or fluid power.
  • Experience with brands such as CAT, John Deere, Case, or Cummings.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Must be local to Midland, TX
  • Must have basic hand tools (Specialized tools will be provided)
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 30%
