- Shape the voice of Farm Progress by editing 3-4 monthly print magazines and daily web content
- Be our guardian of quality, addressing potential legal and ethical concerns in our content
- Craft engaging headlines that grab readers' attention in print and perform well in search engines
- Lend your expertise to multimedia projects, ensuring our brand message is consistent across all channels
- Navigate the technical aspects of content production, from InDesign layouts to content management systems
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of editors, writers, and designers to produce top-notch agricultural content
- A Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications
- Proven experience in print and online media
- A thorough knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and AP style (we'll put your skills to the test!)
- Proficiency with Adobe CC (InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office
- Experience with SEO and content management systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
- The capacity to make quick, informed decisions under pressure
- A detail-oriented approach and excellent multitasking abilities
- Familiarity with agricultural or business topics is a plus, given Farm Progress's focus on the agricultural industry.
