Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Tulsa, OK

Mon-Fri 5am - 2pm
The Distribution Handler position verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following essential functions and responsibilities to quality and productivity standards. Team members in this position also share responsibility for warehouse organization, warehouse cleanliness, inventory management and continuous process improvement.
Grade 12 or equivalent and one year of factory or warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving.
Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
A valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a license to operate a forklift or lift truck. Prior experience with forklifts is preferred.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Fulfill customer orders and intercompany transfers following Shipping procedure.
Palletize and package orders for shipment using proper packaging equipment including banding and wrapping.
Maintain warehouse facility and equipment including general maintenance and proactively identifying service needs and maintenance requirements.
Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas.
Unloads, receives, and documents inbound shipments following Receiving procedure.
Sort and label as necessary for company inventory.
Maintain warehouse organization practicing FIFO for all inventory material.
Participates in physical inventory counts as directed and reports all discrepancies to Facility Manager.
From time-to-time, may be required to work overtime including weekends and holidays as necessary to accommodate our customers' and business needs with proper notification.
Perform other duties assigned by Management.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching for the duration of the shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May be exposed to weather temperature conditions prevalent at the time.
