- Sell life and health insurance products using consultative sales techniques within an assigned territory.
- Identify and develop new business through prospecting, lead follow-up, and referral generation.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and recommend appropriate coverage solutions tailored to client goals.
- Prepare and present clear proposals that explain policy features, benefits, limitations, and costs.
- Maintain long-term client relationships through regular follow-up, policy reviews, and service activities.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM and ensure timely submission of required paperwork and documentation.
- Stay current on product knowledge, regulatory requirements, and underwriting guidelines.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and participate in incentive programs and performance contests.
- Current state life and health insurance license, or willingness and ability to obtain and maintain required licensure.
- Proven sales or client-service experience; prior insurance experience preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple accounts.
- Analytical ability to interpret coverage details and underwriting requirements and convey them clearly to clients.
- Proficiency with basic PC applications and a willingness to learn CRM and other agency software.
