
Field Engineer (THAAD - CLS)

- Provide field and sustainment level maintenance support to the KSA THAAD equipment out of Fort Bliss, Texas.
- Support the System Integration and Check Out (SICO) from White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico.
- Support the KSA Logistics Operations Center (KLOC).
- Assist with training KSA maintainers/operators in accordance with the CLS training program.
- Support the customer in managing and monitoring the maintenance and sustainment program, including scheduling services, system upgrades, and modifications.
- Perform all maintenance actions and troubleshooting procedures that are above the level of the Enhanced Operator/Maintainers (EOM), including but not limited to software, hardware, interconnecting cabling, electrical systems, and networks.
- Create, update, and complete maintenance actions within the allotted time and verify the completeness and accuracy of maintenance reports.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and comprehending electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Identify issues, develop, and submit investigation reports to assist program engineers with design changes.
- Collect, package, and deliver system data files from the TFCC and Launchers.
- Perform Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) in support of KSA THAAD Battery sustainment operations.
- Support the maintenance and calibration of all special tools and equipment.
- Support peculiar support equipment inspections and testing for corrosion issues.
- Provide guidance and assistance to support the mitigation and prevention of corrosion on the KSA tactical system.
- Be afforded the opportunity to temporarily support OCONUS backfill positions out of the KSA.
- If required, have the ability to work in an austere environment with limited western amenities.
- 3-5 years of technician experience with field and sustainment operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
- Must possess an active security clearance at the SECRET level or higher.
- Must pass a background check, including criminal and credit checks.
- Experience with THAAD or Patriot systems.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Ability to establish and maintain networks (e.g., LAN, WAN, IP address schemes).
- Working knowledge of Unix and Linux.
- Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
- Ability to apply fault detection and fault isolation procedures.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic operations.
- Basic understanding of the Army Supply System.
- Ability to apply appropriate Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation procedures.
- Ability to manage and account for inventory.
- Knowledge or experience with U.S. Army Material Maintenance Management.
- Experience in the Middle East/Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region providing sustaining and/or training support.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
